Match Report
Sherborne Preparatory School Girls-1st Team vs  Port Regis School
On: Saturday, 25 Nov 2023
Venue: at Home

This amazing team keeps on getting better and better, although today's performance was not the best I had seen this week, let alone this season, but it did get the desired result. A convincing win over our rivals from the east of North Dorset was well deserved. It should be noted that in our 7-1 win Rosie scored all of our goals. A mixture of skill, energy, strength and power which pushed our girls forward and lead to this most convincing of wins. In truth many of the girls were a little below par, while I am not one for making excuses I do believe that the hard work and exhilaration of winning the county tournament on Wednesday, together with our year 7s involvement in The Wizard of Oz will have taken the edge off our performance. I am sure that we will be back to our best for the last two matches of the season. I am looking forward to them both.

A little note about our goalkeepers; Esme took up goalkeeping last year so we have three 'keepers for two teams and they are all wonderfully accomodating and happy to share duties. Esme has made massive progress and made a number of really good saves in the first half before swapping to play in the seconds. Hattie came over and also made a number of excellent saves. Nettie chose to play out today, but will play in goal again on Wednesday. Super work all three of you.

Well done girls

Mr Reid
